Bed bugs are becoming a problem. We really need to consider a few things. I don't recommend buying furniture secondhand (Craigslist, Recycler, Pennysaver, etc.) unless you are confident the seller has not had a pest problem for at least one year. German Cockroaches can also be found in electronics, like bed bugs. So be careful that you don't "import" a pest into your home.
I took the picture below this morning as I was going to get a cup of coffee. While someone may have not wanted to go thru the extra effort to properly discard of this mattress, it may get picked up by unscrupulous resellers, recovered and resold. Or perhaps someone who really needs a free bed gets more than they bargained for. Take care and be careful out there.
